acework provides tools for organizing recreational sports activities: event registration, scheduling, score recording, ratings, rankings, and player matching. acework is an information and record-keeping service. Except where expressly stated, acework does not organize, supervise, or control offline activities arranged between users.
Tennis, pickleball and similar sports involve inherent risks of injury. You participate in any activity arranged on or through the Platform voluntarily and at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release acework, its owner, and event volunteers from liability for personal injury, death, or property damage arising out of your participation in activities, except to the extent caused by their gross negligence or willful misconduct. Organized events may additionally require a participant waiver.
Ratings are estimates generated by our algorithms and carry no official status. Display names, ratings and rankings are visible to other users. Detailed match scores are private to the players involved and are published only with the consent of both players.
Unless otherwise stated, activities are cost-shared: venue and equipment costs are divided among participants as announced per event. Deposits, refund and no-show rules are as stated in each event announcement.
Prize draws are open without purchase; a no-cost entry method is available as described in each contest announcement. Winners must correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question before receiving a prize. Contests are void where prohibited and subject to the rules of each announcement. Prizes have no cash value unless stated.
You grant acework a non-exclusive licence to use content you post to the Platform for operating and promoting the community. Event media is handled per Section 5 of the Privacy Policy, including your right to request removal.
By opting in you consent to receive electronic messages about events and community matters. Every commercial message will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe mechanism. You may withdraw consent at any time.
The Platform, including software, ratings algorithms, branding and design, is owned by acework. Community organizations using the Platform retain the right to export the records of their own members and events.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, acework's total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid to acework (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, and acework is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
You will indemnify acework against claims arising from your breach of these Terms. We may suspend accounts for violations. We may update these Terms with notice through the Platform; continued use constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada; disputes are subject to the courts of Alberta.
