We disclose personal information only: to event organizers, limited to what is necessary to run an event you registered for; to service providers (e.g., cloud hosting) under safeguards; or where required by law. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be shared with sponsors and funders and do not identify you.
Data may be stored and processed on servers located outside Canada (including the United States) by our cloud providers, and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Events may be photographed or recorded for community records and promotion. By registering for an event you consent to appearing in event media. You may ask us to remove any photo of you from our channels at any time, and we will do so. Media featuring identifiable minors will not be used promotionally without parent/guardian consent.
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal profile; anonymized match records may be retained to preserve the integrity of other players' ratings.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. In case of a breach creating a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta as required.
Acework is available only to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. Accounts registered by users under 18 will be terminated and any associated personal information deleted upon detection or report.
