1. Role
Organizers act in their own capacity (or on behalf of their club/association), not as employees or agents of acework. acework provides tools and records only. This Agreement applies in addition to the Terms of Service.
2. Safety and Venue
- Use venues lawfully available for the activity (valid booking, or public courts used per municipal rules);
- Take reasonable safety precautions: assess weather and court conditions, stop play when unsafe, know emergency contacts, and report serious incidents to the Platform within 48 hours;
- Ensure participants have accepted the assumption-of-risk terms (Platform confirmation or signed waiver) before play;
- Do not register participants under 18. Acework is an adults-only platform (18+). If a participant is discovered to be under 18, remove them from the event and report to the Platform.
3. Fees and Transparency
- Announce all costs before registration; collect only what is announced; cost-shared amounts must reflect actual costs and be accounted for transparently on request;
- Do not sell raffle or lottery tickets, or run gambling of any kind. Prize draws must follow the Platform's contest rules (free entry available; skill-testing question);
- Sponsor exposure commitments made through the Platform must be honoured.
4. Fair Play and Conduct
- Accept registrations without discrimination, subject to legitimate level or capacity limits;
- Record results accurately and promptly; do not manipulate ratings;
- Maintain a respectful environment; an Organizer may remove a participant for unsafe or abusive conduct and must report the removal.
5. Privacy
Participant contact information provided for an event may be used only for that event and must not be added to other lists or shared without consent.
6. Insurance (Recommended)
Organizers are encouraged to run events under an insured organization (e.g., an association holding Tennis Alberta or equivalent coverage), or to obtain single-event liability insurance. The acework platform does not provide insurance coverage for events.
7. Standards and Termination
acework may remove events or revoke Organizer privileges for breach of this Agreement. Serious breaches (safety neglect, financial misconduct, discrimination) result in immediate revocation.
8. Indemnity
The Organizer will indemnify acework against claims arising from the Organizer's events, except to the extent caused by acework's own gross negligence. Electronic acceptance via Platform checkbox constitutes agreement.
